The brief is the framework within which we work. The more information you can provide the better job I can do.
General requirements include; subject type, medium (web page, catalogue, mailshot etc.), target audience, purpose (sell, inform, SEO etc.) and any other pertinent information that might be useful.
Once we have agreed an appropriate fee, a deposit has been paid and we settle on a deadline, I get to work. I generally research the subject and the target market, then sketch out ideas. Over the production period, I put flesh to those ideas or dismiss them depending on how they fit the brief.
Once complete the work is edited, left to brew, then edited once more. I then deliver on or before the deadline.
Once I have delivered the copy, it’s your turn. You appraise the work and suggest changes or corrections using whatever method suits you. I generally include two revisions in each project, although I rarely need the second.
Once complete, the balance is paid and the copy becomes yours, to do with as you will.
